PALAU
An archipelago of islands east of the Philippines, and west of Hawai'i, Palau is a verdant paradise of diving, from floating with jellyfish living in a seawater lake, to drifting along walls covered in soft corals, to exploring WWII wrecks, Palau is considered by many to have some of the Pacific's most amazing dive experiences.
THE DIVING
Wreck of The Iro
Considered to be the best wreck dive in Palau, and ranging from 8 to 21 meters, this 475 foot ship was sunk in 1944 and is one of Palau's largest wrecks.
Jellyfish Lake
Dive with jellyfish that have long lost their stingers, in this tranquil lake fed fresh seawater by subterranean caves.
What to Expect:
Palau is an isolated country, with few visitors, and as virtually everything is imported, costs are high for essentials.
Getting There:
Continental Micronesia offers direct service to Palau from Manila, and from Honolulu, where direct flights to US and European cities can be made.
