NOVEMBER
It's getting cold in the Northern Hemisphere, but summer is well under way in the Southern Hemisphere, with some of the most exciting action of the year taking place in Southern Africa this month....
SQUID RUN
Perhaps the most amazing spectacle of the year is the Squid Run off of South Africa; second to the Sardine Run, where billions of small fish set off a feeding frenzy of sharks, the Squid Run is similar in that mass feeding of ocean creatures occurs at this time.
The Whale Shark are starting to appear of of Kenya's coast, continue to be seen off of Djibouti, while the Whale shark season ends in the Indian Ocean nation of the Seychelles.
The Hammerhead and Zambezi shark season starts in southern Mozambique, with Hammerhead, Zambezi, Bull and Tiger Sharks commonly seen off of Protea Banks, South Africa.
Hammerhead sharks start to appear in Canary Islands while the Great White Shark season continues on Guadeloupe Island, Mexico. (departures can also be arranged from San Diego).

As the Manta rays season starts off Yasawa, Fiji, the encounters with Manta Rays on east side of Maldive Atolls ends, as the creatures migrate west to feed.
The Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola) season ends in the straits between Bali and Lombok.
Killer whales/Orcas arrive in large numbers in the Fjords of western Norway, where divers and snorkelers (and even people on shore) can watch these giant animals swim through the deep, narrow channels.
Humpback whales stop appearing off of Western Australia's Ningaloo reef, while the Green and Loggerhead turtle season starts there. Green and Loggerhead turtles also start laying their egg laying along islands off of the Queensland coast.
To the east, Yellow Eyed penguins start breeding season near Duneiden, New Zealand; and far up to the north, Olive Ridley and Leatherback turtles start to be seen in Tamarindo Bay, Costa Rica.
And, at last, the Antarctica Season opens with the arrival of summer in the Southern Hemisphere, with frequent sightings of many kinds of whales, seabirds, penguins and seals.
