The arrival of June brings the most exciting event of the African Scuba diving year, the Sardine Run, when billions of the silvery fish rush past the eastern coast of South Africa, triggering a mass feeding frenzy.

 

sardinerun.jpgThe Sardine Run, South Africa, occurs in Kwazulu Natal province, and divers can witness one of the largest shifts of biomass in the world, as currents push billions of sardines on their annual migration near the rugged coast where sharks, dolphins, seabirds and more feed off the rich pickings.

 

brownbear.jpgSalmon spawn in Alaska, sparking feeding frenzy from Black and Brown bears in rivers across the American state.

While the Whale Shark season ends in southern Belize, the Whale sharks start in Sea of Cortez

And also in the Sea of Cortez, the Manta rays starts, along with Yasawa, Fiji, where the winged creatures also can be encountered.

And while Humpback whales start to arrive in the Western Indian Ocean nation of Mozambique, Humpback Whales also start to appear off of Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef.
